Works in operation. Perception under pressure.

Xenopoem Conference began in 2023 as a small xenopoetics discussion circle. In 2025 it took hybrid form across Discord and London, with participants joining from Russia, Canada, the UK, and Japan.

In 2026 the focus shifted from philosophy to art in operation. The conference now presents experimental works that activate during the session itself.

In this format, each work appears in two movements: presentation and interlocution. The first movement sets the work in motion through live performance, screening, reading, system output, or another form. The second carries it beyond its initial appearance through response and exchange. Pairings are not disclosed in advance, so the dialogue remains live and unscripted.

Xenopoetics names a condition in which perception is altered through contact with volatile form. A xenopoetic work exceeds singular authorship, arising through relations, transmissions, and variation that no one maker controls in full. It destabilises the human as the fixed centre of meaning, generating symbolic pressure that unsettles cognition. “Poem” here does not designate a literary genre, but a concentrated unit of form. It may manifest in any work or event that suspends familiar coordinates and changes the conditions of encounter.

The xenopoem produces structural mutation within the observer.
